Home repair/rebuild following 2008 Hurricane Ike. Cooperate with local community Long-Term Recovery Committee. Long-Term UCC Partners in Service volunteer coordinators will be on-site with your group. Projects will be coordinated by the local Long Term Recovery Organization.

Ration of 1 or 2 persons with construction skills per 8 volunteers in group is requested.
Up to 24 volunteers per week.
Housing at First Christian Church, Texas City, TX. Bunks and showers are provided. Bring your own bedding. Kitchen facilities and cooking utensils are available. A list of local grocery stores is provided upon your arrival.

Long-Term Disaster response from 2008 Hurricane Ike. Focus on the repair and rebuilding of homes.
Year-round. Groups are encouraged to come Sunday evening through Saturday morning.
Any size group. Individuals may join with groups that are on-site during a particular week.
Accommodations are at local churches arranged by SETIO Volunteer Coordinator. Kitchen/dining, lounge areas, and showers are available on-site. Groups provide and prepare their own food.
There is no set cost. Groups are encouraged to donate a reasonable fee to help off-set utility expenses.
