Partners in Service

Thank you for your interest in the Partners in Service program of the Volunteer Ministries Office, United Church of Christ.  Partners in Service is based on the belief that all God's people are gifted and called to offer these gifts in the service of others. Partners in Service host sites are located in diverse settings within the United States.  Volunteers ages 18 and above serve in full-time for terms of 1 month to a year or more. See Partners in Service booklet for more information on the program and possible host sites.

Who Volunteers?

Partners in Service is open to adults of all ages, skilled and unskilled, who are eager to serve, and have a willingness to learn and, at the same time, wish to gain a better understanding of themselves. Though there are minimum age requirements, there is no upper age limit. Partners in Service does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of religion, race, color, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, or disabilities.   International volunteers are placed upon the recommendation of partners in the Ecumenical Diaconal Year Network and recognized church partners of the United Church of Christ.

Application Part I

Following submission of this part I application, you will receive by e-mail part II and forms for 3 references to complete.  If you do not have access to e-mail, please contact the UCC Volunteer Ministries Office for a printed copy of this application 216 736-3216.

Application will be considered complete when parts I, II and reference forms have been returned to:  UCC Volunteer Ministries Office, 700 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115 or completed, scanned and e-mailed to blaufusm@ucc.org. 

This application is not binding on either the applicant nor the office of UCC Volunteer Ministries.

Application Dates

Applications will be processed as they are received.  Sites with larger numbers of applicants may fill their openings for September in early spring.
