Plymouth House of Healing (Seattle)

Mission:  transitional home for formerly homeless people or those at risk of being homeless who struggle with mental illness. (www.plyhc.org)

Volunteer Position:  Resident companions spend a year living in community with people in this transitional housing.  Being a companion here is an opportunity to provide friendship and support.

Period:  September - August

 Multifaith Works (Seattle)

Mission:    Multifaith Works builds relationaships of mutuality and care with people who are often abandoned and alone.  Connects with people living with AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses, people in chemical addiction recovery, and people wrestling with grief and loss.  By their practical assistance (sharing meals, providing transportation, assisting with household chores) and emotional support through nonjudgmental listening.  (www.multifaith.org)  

Volunteer Position:  Resident Advisor in transitional housing program

Period:  September - August OR January - December
