"Virtual" volunteer position. Live at home. Serve through electronic media.
Mission: Serves foster care youth, ages 10 to 18, in three neighborhood-based group homes, located in Bismarck, ND. The mission is to meet the needs of at-risk youth in a holistic way, working toward healing and strengthening youth mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. The goal is for today's at-risk adolescents and teenagers to discover their innate strengths, develop important life skills and become emotionally stable and psychologically resilient. Over 50% of the youth served at CHYS are Native American from tribes across a multi-state region.
Volunteer Position: Church Relations Associate(s) - East Coast
Period: Ongoing. Looking for volunteers who would consider working in this capacity for a two to five years. One-year appointments will be considered, though longer-term appointments are desired.

Housing: This position would allow volunteers living in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania or Vermont to reside in their own home and work from home.
Minimum Age: 21
Other Requirements: Occasional travel will be required in the East Coast region and will depend on the number of associates recruited. Travel to North Dakota once annually is anticipated; related costs will be covered by the agency. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive using own vehicle. Mileage and other travel expenses will be reimbursed. Office expenses (e.g. postage, long-distance telephone) also will be reimbursed.
