Be a part of the General Synod 27 Celebration Choir

The General Synod Celebration Choir will sing for the Sunday worship service.

The Celebration Choir has reached capacity.  We will not be accepting any further registrations for the choir.

If you have signed up for the choir but have not received an email attachment with the music, please email:

The massed choir will be composed of delegates and visitors to General Synod, supported by members of the Cathedral of Hope choir from Dallas, Texas.

The choir will sing for the 3:00 p.m. worship service on Sunday, June 28, 2009.

It is the responsibility of each individual to learn the music prior to the synod choir rehearsal.  Music will not be taught at the rehearsal.  We will use the rehearsal time for staging, working with the band and orchestra, and practicing entering and exiting the stage.

Rehearsal Time
The choir will rehearse on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 1:00 – 2:15 p.m. PLEASE arrive at DeVos Place by 12:45 p.m. and proceed to the plenary hall. Be seated near the stage, but not on it. It is important that you arrive on time and be ready to sing at 1:00 p.m.

Sunday afternoon's rehearsal is for fine-tuning, so please know your music before the rehearsal.

On Sunday, please wear a black, white, red, or yellow top (blouse, shirt) and black pants or skirt.  No shorts or jeans, please. The choir will be on stage, projected onto the large screens, and filmed.
