Faith Formation in a Multifaith World
An intergenerational, transformational model of ministry for children, youth, families, and whole congregations
October 3-4, 2013
Congregational Church of San Mateo
San Mateo, CA
Join pastors, church educators, interfaith leaders, family and children's ministers, youth pastors, and lay leaders in getting a taste of a successful model of contextual, collaborative faith formation!
As a center of excellence for faith formational ministries in the United Church of Christ, Congregational Church of San Mateo (CCSM) will share with others how they went about creating partnerships with local faith communities, collaborating on programming, and ultimately building a successful model of intergenerational, experiential formation that has profoundly impacted the life of the church.
Plenary sessions will include dynamic interfaith worship and speakers.
Breakout sessions will assist participants in developing ways to engage this model and set of best practices in their own congregations and local communities.
All event attendees will receive the first copies of a new church-wide resource based on CCSM's work - a DVD and accompanying booklet
highlighting best practices and possibilities for ministry in churches and organizations within and beyond the UCC.
