Introduction & Instructions
Opening Prayer
Many: Come, Holy Spirit, renew the whole creation.
One: Spirit of truth, set us free
To emerge as the children of God
Open our ears that we may hear the weeping
Of the world.
Open our mouths that we may be a voice for the voiceless,
Open our eyes that we may see your vision of
peace and justice
Make us alive with the courage and faith of
your prophetic truth.
Many: Come, Holy Spirit, renew the whole creation.
(This is a portion of a prayer from United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCCP) Liturgical Resources, in Hymnal of a Faith journey, United Church of Christ in the Philippines, No. 404.)

Response and Commitment
Offering Dedication (One on behalf of All)
O God, open our hearts.
Like a flower opening its petals to you, give us the gift of openness
And from the depths of our beings, we reach out to you
So that all that we are, and all that we do
Will bring greater glory, and praise to you
(Fr. Jsoe Quilongquilong, in Hymnal of a Faith Journey, United Church of Christ in the Philippines, p. 460)
Affirming Faith (ALL)
In the stillness of the night; We see their silhouette
Struggling to fight; With shadows of chains in sight
In the echoes of silence; We hear them whisper
All their longings as believers; That from fears, they’ll be delivered
In the streets lay the ruins; We bear witness to their pains
As they dream of finding ways; For the lost dignity to regain.
Now in the palm of our hands; The hope is laid down
To hold on in faith; That envisions just-peace land.

Commissioning and Benediction
Walk boldly into the future as a changed person because of Jesus’ love for you. Work with God to change the future of the world for good, because you love Jesus.
