Due to health concerns, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright will not be participating in the United Church of Christ’s final 2012 Black History Month worship service, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at 12 noon in the Amistad Chapel (700 Prospect Avenue E., Cleveland, Ohio). Leaders of the United Church of Christ (UCC) wish Rev. Wright a speedy recovery.
 
This final service of Black History Month instead will be led by the Rev. Geoffrey A. Black, UCC general minister and president. A portion of this service will lift up prayers for those affected by recent violence in the greater Cleveland area.
 
This worship service is free and open to the public.
