UCC Ohio Conference Minister the Rev. Bob Molsberry won one gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke and a second in the 200-meter breaststroke in his disability classification level at the U.S. Paralympics Swimming Trials June 14-15 in Bismarck, N.D.
"My times were not fast enough to earn me a spot on the U.S. team to London," said Molsberry, 57. "But I was thrilled to be in the game, competing against young, strong athletes who were young enough to be my children or even grandchildren."
The gold-winning performance was part of an active week for Molsberry, who attended his daughter's wedding June 12 in Des Moines, Iowa, as well as the Ohio Conference Annual Gathering the day after the swim trials concluded.
"My wife asks me what's next," said Molsberry. " I tell her I have four years to train for the 2016 games in Rio."
