The UCC's National Disaster Ministries has issued an appeal requesting donations of $50,000 to respond to needs in North Dakota and Minnesota as the Red, Sheyenne and Missouri Rivers reach record flood levels.
In addition to the resources required to outfit those working to halt the flow of the floods with temporary dikes and levees, the need for cleanup and rehabilitation is expected to exceed that of the 1997 floods which affected the area.
Coverage of the UCC’s response during and after the flooding will be posted as it becomes available.
Please visit the "North Dakota and Minnesota Flooding" page for more information and donation opportunities.
