It started as a program to give undocumented Latinos a way to get to work. It expanded to include a way to teach unemployed people a skill. Now, the Congregational Church of Patchogue UCC is using its "Workers without Wheels" program as a way to provide transportation for those stranded by Hurricane Sandy.
Retirement Housing Foundation pledges to double donations for Sandy recovery November 14, 2012
Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF), a member of the UCC's Council for Health and Human Services Ministries (CHHSM) is pledging to match all donations it receives for Hurricane Sandy before Dec. 1 – up to $50,000. The goal of RHF: to send as much as 100 thousand dollars to One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) for Hurricane Sandy relief.

But what she found is that "God is Still Speaking" – literally.
