A 5-for-5 church is one that annually provides basic support for Our Church's Wider Mission in addition to participating in OCWM's four special mission offerings: One Great Hour of Sharing, Neighbors in Need, Strengthen the Church and The Christmas Fund. In 2003, there were just over 800 5-for-5 churches, a number that's expected to increase significantly once 2004 participation is reported and tallied.

"We want to recognize those members and congregations that are among OCWM's best givers," says the Rev. José Malayang, Local Church Ministries' executive minister.
