As General Synod 28 drew to a close on Tuesday afternoon, delegates briefly considered then voted to adopt the resolution encouraging UCC "members, congregations, and various settings to call on the United States Senate to ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty as one of its most important foreign policy priorities in Congress." 

The resolution was brought before General Synod by the New Hampshire and Southwest Conferences.

The delegate vote was 673 to 47.
