Code of Conduct
Welcome to myUCC. To make this community experience enjoyable and meaningful to all, we ask that you abide by a few rules.
To contribute to these communities, users must be registered.
There is a diversity of opinion about the Bible and the Christian tradition, both in the United Church of Christ and in these communities. Therefore, attacking or accusing any individual or group of being dishonest will not be tolerated.
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. In addition users have the ability to "flag" inappropriate material to bring it to our attention.
The posting of any services or items for sale is prohibited. You may wish to post these items in our classifed ads or in The United Church News. Information on these paid advertising options can be found at http://www.ucc.org/classifieds.
The webmaster, administrator and moderators of this community have the right to remove, edit, move or close any group, forum topic, blog, etc. at any time should they see fit. As a user, you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. This information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent. However, the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
Individual communities can create their own discussion guidelines. Moderators may remove messages that do not fit a community's discussion guidelines. Moderators are encouraged to suggest other posting options to authors of off-topic posts.
While the administrators and moderators of this community will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore, you acknowledge that all posts made to these communities express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
