keeping with the 1-1-11/11-11-11 theme, the church has a mountain of
food growing in an 11’ by 11’ area marked off in the Fellowship Hall.
A food shopping list with case prices has been printed in Sunday
bulletins, folks were invited to write a check, and let volunteers do
the shopping. Kids of all ages have been busy rearranging the cans
and stacking boxes of food. The generosity of church members and
friends is helping Southwood reach a goal of at least 500 healthy food
items for the local food pantry. The church sent $1,000 to Global
Mission Partners in India, and $1860 for Church World
Service in the CROP walk.
