With a Sunday summer worship attendance average of about 125, Fort Myers UCC first set a Mission:1 goal of 111 cans of tuna for the local food pantry.  Rev. Gaye Bosley-Mitchell, Interim Pastor, challenged the congregation to add '1' to that goal, making the new goal 1,111 cans of tuna.

As you can see from second picture, church members not only topped the original goal of 111 cans, they exceeded the increased goal of 1,111 cans -- collecting 1,457 cans of tuna as of Nov. 10!  A representative of the local food bank will be in worship with the congregation on Sunday to 'receive' this huge donation.

Fort Myers Congregational UCC also prepared and served meals to 155 homeless people in the Fort Myers area.
