During the "Lunches of Love"  project, which packs sandwiches - in children-decorated bags - for distribution by the local Red Cross Friendship House, we began writing letters to our elected officials. From the 11 year old who expressed his dismay at the number of hungry people in the world, to the retired school librarian who wrote about the importance of free lunch programs, our members are passionate about Mission:1!
