When Pastor Robin LaBolt of Sycamore United Church of Christ in rural Wyandote County challenged her buddy – Pastor Dave Jones of Trinity UCC in nearby McCutchenville  -- to a spaghetti and meatball 'Throwdown,' ala the Food Network’s Bobby Flay, they initially set a goal to raise $1,111 for Mission:1. The two Ohio pastors not only met the goal, they more than doubled it!!  They collected over $2,300, and close to 400 canned goods this weekend.
