UCC General Synod planners bring back theological reflections March 25, 2013
Organizers for the United Church of Christ’s General Synod 2013 are reviving a spiritual element of previous Synods during this summer’s gathering in Long Beach, Calif. The Rev. Quinn G. Caldwell and the Rev. Rita Nakashima Brock, have been named theological reflectors for GS 29, and are charged with linking the spirit to the business during the week-long event June 28-July 3.
UCC ‘new and renewing’ congregations awarded grants to expand reach March 22, 2013
With its new pastor, Paradise Hills UCC in San Diego reached out to the people in its community, and refreshed worship services. The congregation, still reaping the benefits of those changes, has been given another opportunity for growth, in the form of a grant from the United Church of Christ Local Church Ministries.

Join UCC in show of support for Marriage Equality March 21, 2013
UCC leaders will join other people of faith in Washington D.C. next week for rallies, processions and prayers at the Supreme Court during oral arguments for two cases on LGBT equality. Those leaders are asking for support from across the UCC, in prayer and in person on the steps of the Supreme Court, as it hears the two cases on March 26 and 27.
UCC-owned hotel in Cleveland to get restaurant upgrade March 20, 2013
The UCC’s Local Church Ministries Board of Directors voted last week to approve a loan of more than a half-million dollars to renovate a space for a new restaurant inside the church-owned Radisson Hotel. The venture will offer a better dining experience to visitors of the UCC and Cleveland’s Gateway District.
