Survey: Sexual Abuse and Violence

The United Church of Christ has been engaged over the years in ministry and advocacy which seek to prevent all forms of violence and abuse including familial and domestic  violence, rape, dating violence, and sexual assault of any kind.  In order to provide up-to-date resources, information, and programs for our local churches and members, we are conducting a needs assessment of our membership and leaders.

In partnership with the FaithTrust Institute (originally known as The Center for the Prevention of Sexual and Domestic Violence), the non-profit organization founded by UCC clergywoman Rev. Dr. Marie F. Fortune, Justice and Witness Ministries with colleagues from Local Church and Wider Church Ministries and experienced UCC members is coordinating the assessment.  The primary tools are three surveys aimed at different groups in the UCC, Youth, Adults, and Leaders.

The online surveys are strictly confidential and anonymous.

To begin, select which survey you wish to complete.  This should take about 10 minutes of your time.  THANK YOU!

·       Youth and College-aged Member Survey (14-23 years of age)

·       Adult Member Survey (23 years and older)

·       Authorized UCC Leader and/or Youth Minister/Leader Survey

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.  If you want to distribute printed copies of the surveys, or if you have any questions, please contact the Rev. Loey Powell at
powelll@ucc.org (1-866-822-8224 x3715).  All completed surveys will be kept confidential.
