Volunteers needed in Arizona
United Church of Christ members in Arizona are calling for volunteers to come to Arizona and work alongside local faith leaders who are already mobilizing and organizing faith communities to take action against SB 1070.
What you can do in Arizona:

Help boost turnout on July 29, the national day of action. Join us in working to turn out congregants statewide for this historic event.

Work to register new voters to lift up the voice of the people and show politicians that we will not tolerate these xenophobic laws.

Organize local Latino workers who are abused on the work site or who have wage theft claims, working locally through the Arizona Interfaith Alliance for Worker Justice.

Learn more about immigration issues from the perspective of the border, work alongside humanitarian aid workers in the desert, talk with migrants first hand and see the border wall construction.

Participate in a special six-day delegation on SB 1070 conducted by Borderlinks (see below).
