Cox Higher Education Fund (William E. and Marion F.)

The Cox Higher Education Fund was established in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988. The fund was established with a distribution from the estates of William E. and Marion F. Cox. The fund only is to be used to bring Christian national leaders from under-privileged countries to the United States for study at our theological seminaries. This fund is awarded once a year, awards range from $1,000 to $2,500.

Diller Scholarship Fund (Robert G. and Eleanor W.)

The Diller Scholarship Fund was established in Cleveland, Ohio in 2002. The fund was established with a distribution from the estates of Robert G. and Eleanor W. Diller. The fund only is to be used to provide scholarships for students from partner ministries abroad to attend a UCC college or seminary. This fund is awarded once a year, awards range from $1,000 to $2,500.

Hallman Endowment Fund

The Hallman Endowment Fund was established in Cleveland, Ohio in 2011. The fund was established with a gift from Phyllis Hallman. The fund only is to be used to assist people in communities recovering from the harm done by war or similar violence. Preference shall be given to activities that help women and children. This fund is awarded once a year, awards range from $500 to $1,000.

Margaret W. Thomas Endowment Fund

The Margaret W. Thomas Endowment was established in Cleveland, Ohio in 2009. The fund was established with a distribution from a Gift Annuity Agreement from Margaret W. Thomas. The fund only is to be used to support seminarians of Global Partner Churches to study in their own seminaries in accordance with the policies of their respective Global Partner Church. Applicant shall be a student from a partner ministry abroad attending an affiliated seminary of the Global Partner Church. This fund is awarded once a year, awards range from $1,000 to $1,500.

Society of South Congregational Church, Brooklyn Scholarship Fund

The Society of South Congregational Church, Brooklyn Scholarship Fund was established in Cleveland, Ohio in 1992. The fund was established via an assignment of assets from the dissolution of the Society. The fund only is to be used to provide scholarships for theological students from third world nations where the United Church of Christ is working with a local church. Applicant shall be a theological student of a third world nation where the UCC is working with a local church. Applicant, upon completion of accredited study and ordination, will serve the local church in his or her country of origin for a period of no less than three years. This fund is awarded once a year, awards range from $20,000 to $30,000.
