Delegates to the United Church of Christ’s General Synod 2013 will be able to choose from more than 40 workshops with topics ranging from how to use multimedia effectively in worship to environmental ministries in the local church. These 75-minute workshops will be offered to participants Saturday afternoon, June 29, 2013 at the Long Beach Convention Center.
General Synod, the UCC’s biennial gathering, will be held June 28 through July 2 in Long Beach, Calif.
"This assortment of workshops is representative of a wide range of work from across the United Church of Christ," said W. Mark Clark, UCC associate general minister and General Synod administrator. "We received a large number of workshop proposals, and the ones selected promise to offer insight and thoughtful discussion on advocacy, mission and church vitality."
Workshop presenters are representative of the wider church, including members of UCC national and conference staffs, local pastors, lay leaders, and seminary educators. There is no pre-registration for workshops. A full list of offerings and workshop summaries is available here.
