Mothers Who Can't Afford Diapers

Mothers Who Can't Afford Diapers

A recent study shows that thirty percent of mothers are not able to afford diapers during some point of their child's life.  Lack of diaper affordability not only impacts the health and development of the child, but it also adds stress to the mother's life.

God, whether we do or do not have children, our hearts cry when we hear that moms can't purchase diapers for their babies.  How can we help each other afford the basic health necessities?  How can we use our voices to make sure that individuals and families have what they need?

God, I know it takes all of us to raise the children of this world.  Give me the courage to open my pocketbook to help a neighbor in need.  Even if my neighbor's life seems well-put-together, remind me that she or he could be suffering in silence.  Amen.
