Ponder: Alfred Tennyson wrote of the Flower in the Crannied Wall, “root and all, in my hand…” with such wonder. How can something so full of life thrive in the broken cavity of a desperately hollow space? The answer to this would reveal to the poet, “what God and man is.”
Pray: Dear God that dwells in the nooks and crannies of broken and desolate spaces; thank you for allowing our hearts to feel your guiding hands stretching, and plucking us out of those hard places. You have revealed to us wondrous hope, your love and grace, and our strength deeply rooted in You. Amen.
