Ponder: Laughter can be a kind of prayer, and children do it best of all. Is there a playground nearby today where you can watch a small child throw her head back and shriek with glee on a swing? (Take a book if you're worried a helicopter parent might suspect less-than-holy purposes.)

Pray: Every time you hear that shriek, cackle, giggle, or peal, say aloud or silently, "Praise God, praise Love, praise Life for this laughter."
