Ponder: People come the world over to Paris, with a lock on which they have inscribed the name of their beloved, in order to clasp it onto a bridge in front of Notre Dame Cathedral, before throwing the key into the Seine. Husbands, wives, sweethearts, bffs, parents and children, all make this pilgrimage.
Pray: Lord, we know that human love is not locked up for a lifetime—it changes and grows, it ebbs and sometimes even corrodes into hatred. Let me love more like You: thousands of years strong and solid, the sturdiness of an ancient cathedral overlooking a changeable river. Amen.
