Ponder: We are a culture afraid of colors - what if my freckled pink (bright red, without sunscreen) clashes with your burnt orange? What would happen if we embraced all the colors, and spent some time really bumping up against each other? Maybe we might learn what Emerson said so many years ago, "All dissonance is harmony not yet understood."

Pray: God, open my mouth, that I might speak my truth. Open my ears, that I might hear your harmonies. And open my closet, so I might learn the way blue and black (and brown and yellow) really do go together, no matter what some fashionista (or politician) has to say. Amen.
