As part of the UCC’s Advent focus on El Niño, our General Minister and President John Dorhauer invites members to join a broader interfaith coalition for a Day of Global Reflection on Climate Disruption. On Sunday, December 6th, congregations and individuals are encouraged to observe this day of reflection by setting aside 30 minutes for a contemplative activity such as prayer or meditation. During this time, participants can lift up concerns and hopes for the climate and its impact on society. They can offer encouragement to the delegates at the Paris climate talks. They can express solidarity with those who have suffered from recent acts of terrorism and violence in different parts of the world. The day of reflection is being spearheaded by Interfaith Moral Action on Climate and the Climate Crisis Coalition. More information can be found at www.globalreflection.org.
