Communications Manager – The Pension Boards – UCC (New York, NY)

The Communications Manager position supports all Pension Boards-United Church of Christ (PBUCC) and United Church Board for Ministerial Assistance (UCBMA) communications to external and internal stakeholders, including members, Conference and National settings of the United Church of Christ, and external partners. Position involves writing original content for newsletters, email, website, and social media; copyediting and proofreading for accuracy and consistency with the Pension Boards’ brand and style and to help ensure quality control; collaborating across departments on various communications projects to support the organizational mission, vision, and objectives and assisting with communications planning for significant rollouts and initiatives, including marketing campaigns and new product launches. Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing. Master’s degree preferred, with 5-7 years’ experience in public relations, editorial, or marketing. Experience in or knowledge of church-related non-profit organizations a plus.
