United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of the Life and Leadership of the Congregation. This position is supported by the Schilling endowment in Church and Economic Life. Its incumbent must be able to teach required and elective courses in: leadership and administration of religious organizations (including, as a requirement of the Schilling endowment, budgeting, finance and stewardship); understanding the nature and dynamics of mission and life in a variety of congregations. The incumbent of this position also manages United's Contextual Studies program. The successful candidate will have a significant record as a congregational leader, and an appropriate doctorate. Strong potential as a teacher and scholar is expected. Applications from persons of color are especially encouraged.
