Schedule for Fall 2008 Steeples Ad Run
Highlights of the Media Purchase
The United Church of Christ's message of extravagant welcome for ALL THE PEOPLE will make 22 million "impressions" during its two week advertising flight beginning Monday, September 29 on national networks BET, BRAVO, CNN and TV One.
"Impressions" are the total number of times an ad is viewed, including multiple views by the same person. It is conservatively estimated that even with duplicate viewership, our message will reach from 12-15 million different individuals.
More than 60% of our timeslots are prime time, an extraordinarily high percentage given the relatively small amount of our total purchase.
What's more, the ad run will also include multiple "billboards" – 5 second voice over's at the end of a show, during which the announcer will say "The United Church of Christ, where God is still speaking."
Viewing Scheudle
Following is the general schedule of when the ad will air. We will post more specific information as it become available, but invite you to follow the links to each network (BET, BRAVO, CNN and TV One) and check out the shows during each designated time period.
They include some fabulous offerings, notably the GLAAD Media Awards (6-8 pm 9/29 on Bravo), movies like The Color Purple (4-7pm 10/5 on BET), news programs like Larry King Live (9-10 pm during the week of 10/6 on CNN), and church-makeover show Divine Inspiration (7 and 8 am Sunday mornings on TV One).
