The UCC Archives holds a collections of oral histories. In the 1980's, the UCC Historical Council sponsored and directed an oral history project where leaders in the denomination were interviewed. Around the same time period, Rev. Dr. Barbara Brown Zikmund directed an oral history project with her seminary students at the Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, CA. The students interviewed members of the Pilgrim Place community in Claremont, CA.

During the 50th Anniversary year of the formation of the United Church of Christ, the UCC Archives embarked upon an oral history project. This project called upon stake-holders to share their experiences during the formation period of the UCC, around 1948-1961. More information about this project will be posted soon.

In memory of Rev. Dr. Joseph Evans, the UCC Archives offers Joe's oral history interview from August 20, 1986.
